Later with Jools Holland
Over the past decade the series has garnered critical acclaim and become the best-loved music programme on the BBC. Shot live, “Later…” has played host to over 500 of the world’s finest bands, showcasing talent ranging from stadium acts to the latest up and coming artists. These performances are now available in a range of mixes which showcase the best music has to offer.
The landmark series is presented by the world renowned pianist and bandleader, Jools Holland, whose talent as a presenter was first recognized when he hosted the Friday night music programme “The Tube”. He later moved to New York and joined saxophonist David Sanborn to present “Sunday Night”, an NBC music show. Returning to the UK and hosting, “Juke Box Jury”, 1992 saw the advent of “Later with Jools Holland”.
Over the years he has performed and recorded with some of the most talented musicians in the world, a list which extends from Eric Clapton, Sting, BB King, Paul Weller and George Harrison to Oasis, Robbie Williams, PJ Harvey and Alicia Keys and many, many more.
